6. Flipped Classroom
The flipped classroom is a pedagogical model in which
the typical lecture and homework elements of a
course are reversed. Short video lectures are viewed
by students at home before the class session, while in-
class time is devoted to exercises, projects, or
discussions.

instruction and online instruction.

13. Why focus on Balanced Instruction and Blended Learning…
Student performance analytics can be used to study and
better understand student learning. We can personalize for
instructional needs and student choice.
Data analytics can also identify students who need early
intervention, thus increasing retention and mastery of
content.
The online tools available in blended courses can also
significantly enhance student engagement, ensuring that
all students participate in course discussions and benefit
from collaborative learning.

14. When we approach teaching as facilitators as opposed to
instructional experts, our students become the experts
and we become the guides to student mastery.
Blended and Flipped Classrooms, using Google Classroom,
can richly enhance learning, retention and mastery.
