A Communion Prayer following Matthew 27:11-20

1. We confess our sins to you, O
Lord, and also to each other.
The state of the world is our
fault.
We are all to blame,
but only partly to blame.

2. Our sins and virtues are inherited
in part.
We influence each other for good
or evil.
We wash our hands of truth and
justice.

3. We bring you our sins, Lord,
Of thought, and word, and
deed.
We lay our lives before you.
Undeserving we cry out for
mercy
