To encourage international co-production opportunities and help producers develop their projects, the
Festival de Cannes launched in 2004 a specific program: Producers Network.
With 486 producers registered from all over the world, the first edition of the Producers Network proved to
be a tremendous smashing success.
For this new edition, The Festival de Cannes, always concerned about contributing in the long term to the
vitality of the world production, emphasizes the development and quality of the Producers Network
services.
Concrete initiatives
Producers Network is a set of concrete and efficient means and services including: daily breakfast with
thematic tables, consultations with our team of moderators, the creation of specific information tools… a
series of initiatives designed to enable producers from the world over to build up their international
network of contacts.
Breakfast meetings from Thursday May 12th to Wednesday May 18th
Every day breakfasts reserved for registered producers are hosted by 16 moderatros together with
numerous special guests (distributors, sales people, financiers, experts, festival organizers…). Those daily
meetings, based on different themes at each table (focus on two countries or regions, finance, writing,
documentaries, festivals strategies, international sales) stimulate networking between producers from all
over the world.
The breakfast meetings are scheduled from 9 am to 11 am, reserving time both for a seated breakfast and
for mingling between the producers and the guests.
The producers catalogue
A specialised catalogue, largely distributed in the Market bag, to producers, distributors and sales
companies lists all the registered producers with their profile, details on up to two projects and their goals
at Cannes.
A website
A special section on www.marchedufilm.com, reserved to producers, enables them:
- to detail the profiles of partners needed, to present their production company, production credits and
projects in development
- to download the list of all the events in Cannes relating to production (with conditions of access and
contacts): conference, round tables, meetings, breakfasts, pavilions.
Legal consulting
Free legal consulting, provided by experienced entertainment lawyers, will be available for the producers
at the end of the breakfast meetings.
