Where are all the best Singapore photography places? Here are (almost) all the places that I have found over the years - https://xlightphotography.com/best-singapore-photography-places/
2. Hello!
I AM MAN TOU
I love photography and share the passion by giving free presentations.
3. ““It is more important to click with people
than to click the shutter.”
- Alfred Eisenstaedt
4. 1) Ang Mo Kio
◉ Translates to “Bridge of the Caucasian” – Because a rich
Caucasian once built a bridge in this area…
◉ Now a town where Singaporeans live.
◉ Secret spot #1 – Sunset from Block 310A.
◉ Secret spot #2 – Sunset from Block 455A.
◉ Most HDBs (public housing blocks) are open to public. Just go up
to the higher floors and you may get lucky with a good view.
◉ Secret spot #3 – Bishan Park Panorama from Block 315B.
◉ Bishan Park itself is also a pretty good place.
5. 2) Toa Payoh
◉ Translates to “Big Swamp” – Because this area used to be nothing
but a big swamp.
◉ Now a town where Singaporeans live.
◉ Secret spot #1 – Light trails from Block 195. This block is directly
facing the highway, a good place to catch traffic.
◉ Secret spot #2 – “5 fingers mountain HDB flats” from the open roof
carpark at block 190.
◉ There is also a dragon playground in TPY – One of the last few
remaining sand playgrounds in Singapore… Good for some
nostalgia.
6. 3) Queenstown
◉ Walk 10 minutes to the Skyville@Dawson.
◉ These few blocks of housing may seem like a private condo, but it
really is public housing.
◉ There are plenty of sky gardens at Skyville@Dawson.
◉ Luckily, the roof top access is still free… Go quickly before they
decide to close it off.
◉ You can catch good bird eye’s view of the city from there.
7. 4) Tanjong Rhu Area
◉ This area used to be dirty river, warehouses and industrial zone.
◉ Transformed into high class residential zone.
◉ Interesting spot #1 – Tanjong Rhu Suspension bridge. Lights up at
night, pretty interesting place to shoot.
◉ Interesting spot #2 – The former watch tower, right beside the
bridge.
◉ Interesting spot #3 – Singapore Sports Hub. Will get busy during
events and concerts.
8. 5) Orchard Road
◉ Singapore’s famous shopping street.
◉ Apart from shopping, there are plenty of photographic opportunity
here.
◉ Plenty of street art along the way.
◉ Plenty of street performers as well.
◉ Orchard ION lights up like a space ship at night.
◉ Tangs has a Chinese architecture.
