• 23 million French bought a product or service online in the third quarter of 2009 – this represents about 7
out of 10 Internet users.
• In May 2009, “Electronics” (52%) and “Travel/Tourism” (51%) were the most popular product categories in
the French E-Commerce market.
• It is estimated that there will be 41 million French Internet users in 2013, up from 37 million in 2009.
• PriceMinister was the main French Internet retailer by active reach (29%) in Q2 2009, followed by 3 Suisses
(24% active reach).
• La Redoute is the leading retail clothing site in France, with 6.8 million unique visitors in July 2009.
