Is there a difference in student academic
achievement in Dzongkha between the use of
traditional method and reciprocal teaching
method?
As like in other subjects will this new method
work in Dzongkha subject?
Do the student have positive opinion towards the
reciprocal teaching method?
5. RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:
To study the effect of reciprocal teaching method
on the learning achievement of tenth grade
studying Dzongkha.
To assess and compare the effects of reciprocal
teaching and traditional method on the academic
achievement of tenth standard.
To evaluate the opinion of students’ towards
reciprocal teaching.

12. DATA COLLECTION:
With due permission from Education Ministry,
District Education Officer, and from the
principal, the researcher will meet with the
concern teacher to discuss about the study and
to adjust period for this study.
13. VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY
Committee from Rangsit university and
co advisor from Bhutan will assess the
instrument that a researcher is going to
use in the study.
14. DATA ANALYSIS
Ttest will be carried out to compare
the mean and the standard deviation
between the groups and within the
group.
15. IMPLICATION OF THE STUDY
The result of this research will be useful for
future Dzongkha teachers in Bhutan to improve
their performance in teaching Dzongkha using
reciprocal teaching.
This study will provide as a reference for other
Bhutanese researchers to research in related fields
of studies.

Comprehension: ability to understand what

Dzongkha: one of the subjects taught in
Bhutan, the national language of Bhutan.
Learning achievement: score of the student
in achievement test.
