2. Although it seems not to be true, there are 61 millions of children
who can´t go to school, and some of them live in India.

3. Mahán is an Indian boy. There is one school in his village , and in
this school only one boy can go to study, because there is only one
chair. Do you know what colour is this chair? It is red!!!

4. Mahán and his friends didn´t go to school, and they spent all day
working. They didn´t know how to read or to write...

5. In the school there was only one teacher, and she didn´t have much
knowledge because she couldn’t go to University.

6. But Mahán was very clever, and he wanted to help all the children
of his village so that they could improve their education.

7. One day he had a wonderful idea. He asked his father, who was a
carpenter, to make some chairs.

Next day, he brought them to the school. His father made a lot of
chairs!!! So Mahán and his friends would go to school now.
9. Mahán’s neirghbours decided to make more chairs, and all the chil-
dren painted them in red color.

10. One day the men went to other villages to carry all the red chairs
and they invited other people to make more chairs…

11. Nevertheless, there are still many boys and girls who can´t go
to school.

12. Do you know what to do? Of course, we have to make more red
chairs. Come on!!! Take part!!! And we all will be able to study like
Mahán, who is now the cleverest boy in his village, and he is still
making more red chairs!!!

And remerber this: if some day you see a red chair, think about all
those children who can’t go to school.
