3. Tropical Rainforest Plant
Adaptations
Structural: Drip tips, smooth bark
and smooth or waxy flowers,
allow water to run off, to
discourage growth of bacteria
and fungi.
Structural: Buttresses and prop
and stilt roots help hold up
plants in the shallow soil.
Behavioural: Some plants
climb/grow on others to reach
the sunlight.
