Board Elected by the counsel President: Roeland Van Den Driessche Vicepresident: Koen Goeminne Financial secretary: Yannick Ranson Board members: Anaïs Tack, Stijn Verplancke, Thijs Decorte Give the city counsel advice about youth problems, organize activities to bring different young people / organizations together
Functions Advising the city counsel Financial support youth organisations, projects… E.g.: safety in youth facilities Safety is important Sanctions against the youth organisations Try making a reasonable compromise between safety and livebility
E.g.: party in safe conditions Safety is important No other alternatives for youth organizations to organize a party Conclusion: they organize a party in their own youth facility, most of the time not safe, but they need the money! Why? For organizing their yearly field trip…  Our advice to the city council:  Keep searching for new small party locations in the city center and the suburbs Meanwhile: allow one or two parties a year in their own youth facility
Negotiate Scouting group: Kerlinga Loss of their youth facility Found a new location (together with city council)! Scouting group: Frassati High rent (more than 1000 euro a year!) Negotiations between church and Frassati Result: lower rent
Organize activities Biggest party in Bruges: ‘100 dagen’ (100 days before high school ends) Unique cooperation between several organizers  Charity: with our profits: supporting youth organizations in problems  This year: 250 euro for ‘t Vlot (center for children with disabilities) Quiz Sports: footballtournament Debate between the several youth parties in Bruges
