7. Turning a Bad Idea into a Good One
Apology Service
The “bad” idea we selected was an apology service where facilitators
are hired to apologize on behalf of someone who doesn’t have the
time or the heart to do it themselves. We took this rather clinical
idea of training facilitators, and working with psychologists, and
shifted the intent of the key activities to make it more fun, light-
hearted, and therefore more marketable. We decided to create an
apology service which people can turn to when they want to do
