2. Children
If children were sick at birth they were put on a hill to
die.
Children were allowed to play until age seven. Once they
were seven girls had to learn domestic skills and boys had
to go to school.
During their years of playing they would enjoy dolls,
spinning tops, hoops, and yo-yos.
3. Sports
Men in ancient Greece
took the Olympics very
seriously and trained at
gymnasiums very often for
this event.
Greeks participated in
events such as long-jump,
throwing the discus,
javelin, boxing, wrestling,
chariot and horse races,
and even poetry or drama
competitions.
