1. Content The music video could be about a girl band who are school girls and are in a rock band. Originality: the music video is going to original because it will have crazy colours in a rock video which has never been done before. Creativity: we could use stop motion animation or we could use an animation soft ware to create some sort of series of clips which we could use in the music video.
2. Theory Andrew Goodwin: (narrative, performance, conceptual/ amplify, contradict, illustrate) in our music video we are going to use all narrative, conceptual and performance. Our video will amplify and illustrate the lyrics Richard Dyer: (starpersona) we are going to give our band (actors) Andrew Goodwin: (post-modernism) I was influenced by a j pop/rock band called scandal who play kind of soft rock and they have this look of school girls which I want to create.
3. Genre Song: the song which we have chosen is from a Canadian band called twirl and the name of the song is candy. The genre of the song is rock although it sounds a bit like country in the beginning of the song. The genre of the video is going to be pop rock. Its pop because its going to have lots of bright colours from the song candy. Rock
4. Style and form Our text will look like a pop rock with a bit of punk. Its going to have the bright colours which are associates with pop and costumes which will look like punk rock. The similar text which I found was this j pop rock group called scandal they have the same audience as the video which we are making. There persona are these school girls who rock out every now and then. Conventions: we will use the convention colours of rock which are black and reds. We are challenging the conventions by having a black female in the band.
5. Audience Primary audience: because it a girl band, shcool girls from age 15-19 might listen to it possibly younger. Who are interested in rock. Secondary audience: if the music video had any sex appeal then possible boys around the same are who listen to rock. Repeatability: the music video might have some sort of narrative which is has a complicated lay out which would make its audience watch it over and over again. Intertextuality: the text will have intertextuality to Madonna's hard candy and people who listen to scandal.
6. Representation Genre: the genre of out song is rock. But in the beginning it sounds like country music. Artist: two member band called Twirl. An independent band from Toronto Canada. Huguette Arsenault - Vocals/Guitar/Flute/ Harmonica keyboards Neal Busby - Drums/Guitar/Bass/Keyboards We could have actors who could play the roll of the artists but instead of having two people we are going to have four. Vocalist, 2 guitarists, drummer.
