Etiquette – the forms, manners or standards that are
considered acceptable to society in your personal or
professional life.
• As a professional, socially acceptable behaviors encompass

• Effective handshakes and eye contact
• Introductions
• Introduce the names of the most important people first
• Keep the introductions basic and short
• Clarify relationship with the person
• Always carry extra business cards
• What if you don’t know the names of people you are

- Shake twice from elbow
- Let go in 3 – 4 seconds

-Always stand during an introduction
