Family Camp for the Blind "Reformation of the Heart"
Bring us back to you, Lord! Bring us back! Restore our ancient glory.
(Lamentations 5:21)
Peace, mercy and grace to you from the Lord Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters!
The Lord allowed us to live in unprecedented opportunities, when the preaching of the Gospel is permitted
even by the country's top leadership. Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Birth of the Reformation, we
understand that the Reformation, which Ukraine needs today, begins with a spiritual transformation in the heart
of every person. This strong conviction prompted us to hold a family evangelistic camp called: "Reformation of the
heart" this year.
Blind people dedicated every morning in the camp which took place on the Azov Sea, to the prayer for
Ukraine and the study of one of the five fundamental theses of the Reformation. Our minister from Zaporozhye
Oleg Khabrenko explained to all the present that we are saved for the glory of God only by Christ and by Scripture,
only by faith and grace. We sincerely rejoice that 12 people openly announced their decision to follow the Christ in
the evening services. Many of the family’s present came out to repent in pairs. One father came out to the chair
with a sleeping child in his arms. God saves blind people and we are the witnesses to this.
Alexander and Ruslana from Chernivtsi: "We have never been at sea for
23 years of our family life. Here at the sea we feel complete peace and
quiet. We are so grateful to those people who have sacrificed their
holidays, finances, and forces to serve us ... "
Yulia and Vitaly from Poltava
region: "Getting to know the
mission "Service to the Blind" has completely changed our life. Both of us
do not see at all because of diabetes. We were trained at a rehab. -center
from the mission in the spring of 2016. There we received the first
knowledge about Christ, substitute sacrifice, sin and righteousness. We
learned that we had been living in fornication and therefore decided to sign
in the registry office. Then there was a family seminar for blind couples.
God revealed to us that we need salvation and therefore we went to the call
to repentance. I am grateful to the people who make such camps. Here we
get the strength to go further. By learning the Scriptures and communicating with believers, we learn to be
real Christians!
Both children and adults liked the words of the psalm that they sang every day in the camp: "Open the eyes
of my heart, Lord, оpen the eyes of my heart, I want to see You…". Dear friends, let's remember that for all of us,
born of the Holy Spirit, is extremely necessary to open our spiritual eyes to clearly see and understand the will of God.
