  1. Born in mexico, Up until I was 7 years old I lived in Mexico, where I was born and my childhood years were spent comparing and contrasting between what I had there and the opportunities that I had and could have in the united states. Growing up I balanced metal pails filled with water on a pole on my back from a cistern down the hill from my home. So I still keep in mind up to this date and in the work that I do is that although one person can be in diff countries, across the globe and their living conditions can be vastly different, they have the same needs, they can benefit the same way from the opportunities that a first world nation provides and they can impact the world globally. But this impact can never happen if globalization did not exist and if countries and organizations across the world did not connect in one level or another
  2. An agreement/ between people or parties to collaborate, share and work towards similar goals.Resource sharing: learning from experts all around the world, physical, materialAvoid duplicationMaximizing impact by looking for best practicesGlobalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity, and on human physical well-being in societies around the world.
  3. AECOM leverages its partnerships with various organizations to ensure that we fulfill our corporate commitment to sustain our local communities. We create science, engineering and design solutions in collaboration with local, regional and national governments, charitable organizations, hospitals and schools to develop programs that aid in community decision-making.Driven by our purpose to create, enhance and sustain the world’s built, natural and social environments, we are committed to using our expertise to make the world a better place."We are committed to conducting business in an ethical manner that minimizes our impact on the environment, reduces waste, protects the health and safety of our people, clients and communities."
  4. 1. AECOM became the first infrastructure-related company in the world to enter into a unique partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to promote involvement and advancement in the field of civil engineering, ensuring continued leadership in the profession for AECOM.ASCE and AECOM share similar visions—to position engineers as global leaders building a better quality of life. To that end, AECOM's ongoing commitment is evident through our broad membership, active participation and leadership in ASCE and industry events. AECOM remains dedicated to driving change and advancing the discipline of engineering throughout our industry and communities. To maintain and advance technical excellence through the organization, AECOM leverages educational opportunities gained through this partnership to enhance employees' skills. As speakers and presenters at ASCE events, our employees distinguish themselves professionally while giving back to the industry. As mentors, they provide young engineers with industry insights, advance technical skills, contribute to the future of the profession and enrich our global community.2. AECOM is committed to EWB's mission and is building a comprehensive global program to support its employees in their participation in EWB. AECOM offers several support options to its employees, including: a) membership promotion and participation throughout the organization; b) financial support to participating staff to cover personal travel expenses associated with EWB trips; c) support of EWB activities by providing access to company facilities and other resources; and d) access to a vast network of technical expertise.By supporting AECOM staff volunteering in EWB projects, AECOM helps create a more stable and prosperous world by addressing people's basic human needs as well as training the next generation of socially responsible professionals.3. We believe in helping today's students prepare for tomorrow's challenges, and our national sponsorship of ACE, a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to attract U.S. high school students into the architecture, planning, engineering and construction world through the use of hands-on mentoring teams, reflects that commitment. The program was founded in 1995 as a way of attracting students, particularly minorities, women and the under-privileged, into the design and construction professions. AECOM serves ACE in three ways: a) Providing leadership at the national level and in several chapters; b) encouraging AECOM employees to expose students to a broad range of people, projects and career opportunities; and c) funding scholarships for graduating students who have shown exceptional interest in our professions. The large majority of students involved with AECOM ACE teams have chosen to continue their university training and future careers in architecture, planning, engineering, and construction management, thus providing a great link between AECOM and the communities we serve.
  5. Tens of benefits and impacts on humanity – both basic and highly sophisticated and complex Show how in these two instances you not only provide these incredible impacts but also train responsible professionals and for a small cost.
  6. The proof: Engaged in supporting de-centralized development programs such as Engineers Without Borders-USASeeking academic programs and service learning opportunities for appropriate, sustainable technology designInvolved in social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility programs
