Full name: Werner Magnus Maximillian Freiherr von Braun
He was born on March 23, 1912 in Wirsitz, Germany.
He died on June 16, 1977 in Alexandria, Virginia.
3. Greatest Accomplishment:
He developed the Saturn booster rocket which later helped
the United States make it’s legendary debut as the first
country to go to the moon.

what I’m doing”.
4. Werner von Braun is of German nationality .
He was born to Baron Magnus von Braun, the founder of the
German Saving’s Bank, and Emmy von Quistorp, who was a
former astronomer and musician.
Werner von Braun was a student of Hermann Lietz School at
Ettersburg Castle near Weimar and later went to the Technical
University of Berlin.
Although hard to believe with his amazing history and
contributions to science, von Braun was actually really dismal in
math and science while in school.
He married his first cousin, Maria Luise von Quistorp on his
mother’s side in March of 1947.
5. Contributions to Science
He practically led the United States to its grand entrance
into the “space age”.
He contributed in help found the main United States space
program.
He helped reach the goal of space exploration.
