This member of my target audience shows
that the strengths of my trailer are that the
trailer follows many of the conventional
elements used in horror film trailers to make
it appealing, and it contains very
conventional and appealing elements such as
the use of a montage, short takes, low key
lighting and the build up of a non-diegetic
soundtrack to create tension. This is useful as
it shows me that improvements would not
have to be made regarding these specific
areas. However this member of my target
audience also mentions a weaknesses of my
trailer. This is that a wider array of shot types
could be used in the montage to make the
trailer more conventional. This is useful as if I
was to make another draft of my trailer I
would ensure I use a wider variety of shot
types.

This member of my target audience
believes that there are no weaknesses’ of
the trailer, therefore it is very appealing.
This is useful to me as there is not a clear
weakness to my trailer, therefore making
my trailer very effective. The strengths
they have discussed are that the trailer
has a very clear story line and the
content is appealing, the trailer does not
give away too much of the storyline, and
the low key lighting helps to create an
atmosphere of darkness to the trailer
making it appealing to the horror genre.
These strengths expressed are useful to
me as they show me what aspects would
need no improvements on as they are
already appealing to my target audience.

Weaknesses of my Trailer (Draft 3)
This member of my target audience
explains the strengths and weaknesses’
in great detail which is useful to me as it
allows me to understand what the target
audience member thinks about my
trailer. The strengths explained include
the montage to build up tension, the use
of non-diegetic sound makes the trailer
look professional and conventional and
the mise-en-scene is very appealing to the
target audience. This is all useful to me as
it shows me the elements of my trailer
that require the least amount of
improvements. The weaknesses displayed
include that some of the scenes at the
beginning are not necessary for the
storyline, therefore making them not as
appealing and effective as other shots, the
font style is appealing but the animation
for it appearing could be more
conventional. This is useful as it shows
me the elements that could be improved.
