Background & Planning: The project was initiated when the
teacher as a student was hindered from achieving her dream of
being a pilot or an air traffic controller because she did not
comprehend the topic of the project; and afterwards as a teacher,
she found out that students shied away from the project topic
because they don’t comprehend it. In an effort to avoid another
failed dream, the teacher embarked on the project.
Classroom Images: The images of the control group and
experimental group in their classroom and computer room are

Notes de l'éditeur
In this project, Senior Secondary 3 students were the basic learners for the project. In other to obtain a comprehensive and positive outcome, a class was used and divided into 2 groups namely the ‘Control Group’ and the “Experimental Group’. The aims of the project are:-
-Students will be able to use ICT tools to research geographical locations in the world.
-To be able to locate and calculate the time difference between 2 places on the earth surface.
-To be able to calculate distance and positions of places on the earth surface using higher-level thinking skills to understand the features of longitude and latitude
-To also be able to use the 3-D images presented on the internet and presentations to simplify their understanding of features and occurrences relating to longitude and latitude of the earth.
-To engage pupils in personally meaningful, open-ended scientific inquiry.
-Pupils/teachers engaged in open-ended problem solving and higher order thinking exercises.
-Opportunities for meaningful group work and peer tutoring.
-Provide models for a more understanding of the project topic applying the knowledge of technology.
The planning and management of the project was well laid out and executed with some hitches along the way. It was a challenge for the topic to be conducted at the same time for the control and experimental group. But planning helped.
