This is the fourth question for my media evaluation.

How did you use new
media technologies in

research, planning and
evaluation stages?

2. Blogger
Primarily I have used the website Blogger for research,
planning and evaluation for my main products and ancillary
tasks.
Blogger has allowed me to become a prosumer, and by using
this website it allows me to fully display my work and the
progression of it. It shows how my work has developed and I
am able to use my blog as a way of presenting my work
effectively.

3. Research: Slideshare
For some of my research I have used slideshare, which has
allowed me to present my research, planning and evaluation
neatly and effectively. Slideshare is a website in which I can
create a presentation and post it on the website and it is
online for anyone to see. This can give me a wider target
audience as people all over the world can see my
presentations as the website allows you to give the
presentation a description and tag lines, to make it more
accessible to people all over the world.

4. Other presentation devices
As well as slideshare, I have used other presentation devices such as
Prezi and emaze in order to present my planning and research. By
using these means of presentation, it allows me to present my work
in a more technical and interesting way than just a plain powerpoint.
As both Prezi and emaze are online websites, like slideshare, it
allows my work to be projected to a wider audience and people all
over the work can see it. This promotes my work and helps me gain
a wider audience. Out of Prezi and emaze, I would say that I prefer
to use Prezi when presenting my work. This is because it shows my
work in a more creative way.

5. Research: Music
In order to download and add music to my short film, I have used the websites
YouTube, YouTube Converter and the program iTunes. I have used YouTube
quite a lot in all stages of my project, such as for the research of existing media
products and to search for music to use in my short film. Using YouTube allowed
me to search for the exact type of music that I wanted and gave me suggestions
for similar songs. YouTube converter allowed me to convert the songs into mp3
so that I could download it to iTunes and put it onto my film.
