3. Interaction with Kids

5. Interaction with Kids
• Groups A to D will be playing games first, while Groups
E to H will be at the Arts & Crafts session.
• Once Groups A to D are done playing the games, they
are to swap over with the groups at the A & C session.
• Thus, Groups E to H will be playing the games and
Groups A to D will be at the A & C session.
• Kids Facil. do not go over to the A & C session with
their groups after the switch. They are to stay at the
games session.
• Similarly, those allocated to the A & C session will
remain there throughout the whole CIP session.

7. Games
• Teams are to only spend a maximum of 45 minutes at each
station.
• The teams are to move on to the next station once the game is
over.
• All games will involve two teams, going against each other.
• Kid facils. are to stay with their teams at all times.
• At every station, points will be allocated to the teams, and the
Kids Facil. are to keep record of all the scores of their respective
groups.
• At the end of the games session, Kids Facil. will total up all the
scores for the games.
• This score will be added up to the skit session later and the
group with the highest score will be the overall winner.
12. Game One: Balloon Race
• Objective :
– To promote active participation, and teamwork.
• Instructions :
– Both teams will stand at the starting line.
– At the end line, there will be a balloon zone, where 10 inflated
balloons will be placed.
– When games starts, Each team will send a pair each time, and
they will have to collect as many balloons as possible.
– They can only use their hands and legs in the balloon zone, so
they cannot transport the balloons using their limbs.
– After 45 seconds, game will end, and points will be allocated
depending on how many balloons they are able to transport.
– If the team manages to transport all 10 balloons, that team
will get an extra 5 points.
13. Game Two: Obstacle Course
• Objectives :
– Handling impulsivity
– Active Participation
• Instructions (i):
– 2 teams going against each other.
– The will be a total of 5 obstacles.
• There will be 10 ping pong balls inside the tray, which is filled with water.
The player has to blow one ball out of the tray, using only his or her
mouth.
• A plastic spoon will be given. Place the spoon in mouth and use it to
transport the ping pong ball which was blown out of the tray, to the next
obstacle.
• Hold the ping pong ball in one hand, and use the other hand to dribble a
basketball to the next obstacle.
• Place the ping pong ball in between your feet, and hop to the next
obstacle.
• There will be a pole at this obstacle. You are to spin around the pole 5
times, with your head place on the tip of the pole. Then, Try to throw the
ping pong ball, back into the tray at the 1st obstacle.
14. Game Two: Obstacle Course
• Instructions (ii) :
– Once the previous player has thrown the PP ball into the tray at
the first obstacle succesfully, the next person can proceed with
the course.
– The player who has completed the course, will then collect a
rubber band from the game IC, and move to the back of the line
and will wait for his turn again.
– At any point of time if any of the players flattens or spoils the
ping pong ball, he or she has to go back in line and restart all
over again.
– At the end of 3 minutes, game will end, and points will be
allocated based on the number of rubber bands collected. If
team manages to collect at least 10 rubber bands, extra 5 points
will be allocated.
15. Game Three : Musical Dots
• Objectives :
– Handle impulsivity
– Perseverance
• Instructions :
– Two teams will play together.
– There will be a circular boundary and no one is supposed to be inside
it.
– Dots of different colours will be placed inside the boundary.
– The music will play and everyone will walk around the boundary in a
clockwise direction.
– Once the music stops, players will have to find a dot to step on.
– Players who do not have a dot will be eliminated.
– After every round, 1 – 3 dots will be removed.
– Game then continues until only one person remains in the game.
– The group whom the last man standing belongs to, will get 10 points,
while the losing group will get 5 points.
16. Game Four: Ping-Portation
• Objectives :
– Initiate teamwork
– Think flexibly
• Instructions :
– 2 groups will go against each other.
– Both teams will then form two rows each.
– One player will stand at the starting line and one will stand at the end.
– Each pair will be given a piece of cloth.
– They will then transport a ping pong ball, by flicking or flapping the
cloth given to them.
– All the players are to not move around when passing the PP ball.
– At the end of the line, the last pair will have to pass the ball to the
person standing at the end, who will then hold all the balls.
– At the end of 3 minutes, game will end and points will be allocated,
depending on the number of ping pong balls they have transported.
– If the team manages to transport at least 10 ping pong balls, the team
will get extra 5 points.
18. Arts & Crafts
• 4 groups will be involved in this session.
• They will then pair up, and will each receive a clay
piggy bank.
• They will then be given coloured markers / water
colour for them to decorate their piggy banks.
• The A & C facilitators are to assist the kids, if they
need any help.
• Make sure the kids are in pairs. If any of the kids
do not have partners, the facilitators will be their
partner.
19. Skit Competition
• There will be a mini skit competition during the finale of the interaction
session with the kids.
• There will be a total of 4 groups doing the skit, as two groups will form one
bigger group.
• All 4 groups will be presenting a skit on the story “The Boy Who Cried
Wolf” / “Three Little Pigs”
• The 2 Kids Facil. from each group + the Games Facil. will be leading the
groups in making their own rendition of the story.
• In preparation of the skit, the groups will be given paper plates, markers
and crayons.
• They are to use the paper plates to as their props, and to indicate what
character he or she is acting as.
• The teachers will be the judges for the competition. They will judge based
on the creativity, originality and the participation of the skit.
• All the kids will be involved in the skit.

22. Classroom Painting
• We will be painting a garden theme for the
classroom.
• Light Blue paint will be used for the
background colour
• Stencils made of cardboard will be prepared
beforehand
– Eg. Butterflies, Leaves, birds etc.
• The stencils will be spray-painted onto the
walls.
25. Sports Room
• We will help with cleaning up the room.
• Puzzle mats will be placed.
• New and simple sports equipment will be
provided.
– Eg. Soccer balls, basketballs, frisbee,
• Boxes will be provided to store the equipment
neatly.

29. Important Things To Note
• Everyone WILL be involved, and no one should be slacking
off.
• Be at your best behaviour. If the kids run around and don’t
listen to their facilitators, DO NOT join them and run
around with them.
• Make sure everyone concentrates on their job, an be
efficient so that we can carry the session out smoothly and
on time, especially for the painting of rooms.
• DO NOT get irritated or annoyed if the kids get too naughty.
Handle your impulsivity and remain calm at all times.
• For painting, DO NOT play around and waste the paint.
Please keep to your task assigned, and do not rely on
others to do your part.
