Outer Presence
He appears quite tough through his clothing and facial expressions.
This protagonist is a male hero and a leading narrative device.
He is 18 who is currently in a relationship with Amy.
He works as a bodyguard
Inner presence
He is caring and protective of his loved ones around him but believes in
justice for wrongdoings and would take personal responsibility to take out
this justice.
Context
His tough guy attitude with the idea that he is the hero which gives the
audience the impression that he has a disciplined and tough childhood.
Lives on his own in a terraced house
Skilled working class etiquette
3. Amy
Outer Presence
She appears nervous and timid in nature which is shown through her
facial expressions
18 years old and currently in a relationship with Sean
Her clothing suggest she has a more middle class upbringing
A love interest and the victim of the narrative
Inner Presence
Her outer appearance is put on to cover up for her drug addiction and
relations with drug dealers but this can be seen slightly through her
nervous tendencies.
She is in debt with a drug dealer
Context
Still lives with her parents and was recently accepted in to university
A middle class upbringing with nurturing and giving parents.
4. Mastermind
Outer Presence
Appears sophisticated through his suit and posture
Early 20s and wants money from Amy
He is the head of a drug dealing gang
Shows dominance and intimidation through vocal delivery and urgency
Inner Presence
A brutal and sadistic nature is established
He’s is kept mysterious by use of close up and long shots to give the idea
that he is more than just a drug dealer
Context
A young drug lord with a killing and power lust
A childhood friend of Sean
A capitalist crook who works around the government and law
Upper/middle class upbringing
5. Thug
Outer Presence
Appears more than just a hit man and a thug for the mastermind
Young adult and has relations with the mastermind through work
Inner Presence
As this character has no dialogue little is known about the
character, but after the opening sequence he would be further
developed and would play a key role.
Is out to kill Sean after opening sequence
Context
A sophisticated and corrupt business man who also works for the
Mastermind
Upper/middle class upbringing
