5. Charlottenlund Upper Secondary School ,
Brundalen is the largest upper secondary
school in the county of Sør-Trøndelag in
Norway.
It is located about 6 km east of the city centre
of Trondheim.
The school has approximately 1,300 students
and 220 employees.
The current headmaster is Jan Erik Vold.

Three parts within the prison education:

◦ The Follow-up base in city centre

Small courses: basic computer skills,
English conversation, arts and crafts etc.
Independent studies for those who attend
colleges and universities
9. ”Trans-acting” Grundtvig-prosjekt involves adult students at Brundalen
Ressurssenter and the Follow up base (Criminal care). Secondary schools
in Turkey, Germany, Italy and Poland are also involved in this project.
Charlottenlund uss. is one of 57 norwegian schools that is member of
ASP –
ASP is UNESCOs international school network. The purpose for this
network is to strengthen the international dimention in : education,
inspire to contact and cooperation nationally and internationally.
Enis: Brundalen is involved in the international network ”European
Network of Innovative Schools”, a network of about 500 european
schools in 19 different countries, and whom are in front in use of IKT in
their countries.
Commenius- project: ”Problem busters” Charlottenlund uss is together
with schools from Poland, Estonia, France and Bulgaria partisipating in a
two year commenius-project where the main focus is human rights.
10. Operation day´s work ”: One day each year our
students are working to collect money to support
young poor people in other countries.
The purpose for OD this year, besides giving students
education in solidarity work , is according to minister
of knowledge, Kristin Halvorsen to; contribute to
strengthen the situation of Brasilian youths i slum
districts in six Brasilian big cities.
Operation day`s work spreads knowledge and
creates possibilities for young people to take
responsibility for development for themselves and
their local society.
