atrocities committed against the Armenian
population of the Ottoman Empire, during the reign
of Abdul Hamid.
2- 1895. The CUP is formed. It is center is the Young Turk
Revolution against Abdul.
3- 1908. Bulgaria is liberated from Turkish rule by
Russia.
4- Young Turk Revolution. 1913. The CUP seized the
power in a coup d´etat. Turanism and Islamic
fundamentalist agitation.
6. 5- World War I. The Ottoman Turks were allied with
Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Armenians
fought with Russians.
6- April 25th, 1915. Beginning of the Armenian
Genocide.
7- 1918. End of the Armenian Genocide. Battle of
Sardarabad.
7. 1- The Turks began by disarming the entire Armenian
population .
2- 40.000 able-bodied Armenian men were taken into
the Ottoman Armed Forces.
3- April 24th, 1915. Constantinople (now, Istanbul). 300
Armenian political leaders, educators, writers, clergy
and dignitaries were taken from their homes, briefly
jailed and tortured, then hanged or shot.

untrustworthy, Talaat ordered their deportation to
relocation centers in the deserts of Syria and
Mesopotamia
5- Mass arrests of adult men and teenagers throughout
the country by Turkish soldiers, police agents and
bands of Turkish volunteers
6- Mass deportation: Death Marches.
