Le projet de recherche Interreg IV franco-wallon Polychanvre vise à valoriser le chanvre comme matière première renou-
velable dans un souci de développement durable. L’équipe transfrontalière étudie l’utilisation du chanvre pour l’élaboration
de matériaux composites. Ces matériaux trouvent des applications notamment dans l’automobile, le bâtiment, les meubles
et le nautisme. Afin de valoriser les résultats de Polychanvre, des actions d’information et de sensibilisation sont prévues,
dont des journées thématiques transfrontalières.

Polychanvre, an Interreg IV Franco-Walloon research project, is designed to promote the value of hemp as a renewable
raw material, contributing to sustainable development. A cross-border team is working on the use of hemp in producing
composite materials which have applications in a wide variety of industrial fields, such as the automobile industry, con-
struction, furniture and water sports. To enhance the results of the Polychanvre project, information and promotion actions
will be held, including themed days in both countries.
