7. ICT Training
In partnership with Hristo Botev 1884 Public Chitalishte,
the library organized a computer course for chitalishte staff.
Main training course topics included:
Working with the Windows operating system
Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Internet

8. ICT Training
for Users Aged 60+
With the cooperation of the Pensioner’s Club, Ivan
Vazov Library organized and conducted seven basic
computer and information literacy training courses.
84 citizens were trained in working with
Windows, Word, internet, e-mail and Skype.
The training was implemented thanks to the Glob@l
Libraries – Bulgaria Program.

11. Pan Theater Presentation
In cooperation with the Culture and Education Department, Ivan Vazov
Library children’s department hosted a presentation of the activities of Pan
Theater.
Various book series for children of Pan Publishing House were presented
to the directors of all kindergartens and schools in Botevgrad municipality.

Friendship Day
Second graders from Sts. Cyril and Methodius Primary
School celebrated 14 February, the Friendship, Goodness
and Shared Secrets Day, with a multimedia presentation.

Second graders from Sts. Cyril and Methodius Primary
School, with the help of the Envision interactive
system, demonstrated excellent knowledge of the fairy tale
world. They checked their knowledge by mouse pointing
the correct answers on the screen.

Levski in the Art
School children and teachers from Vasil Levski Primary
School commemorated 139 years from the death of Vasil
Levski by a library lesson on patriotism and a poetry and
music program.

Patriotism lesson tracking Botevgrad’s historical development.
The regional studies specialist Simeonka Vlaykova presented to
the young people the history from the first settlements in the
region and the development of our town from the Thracian times
to the present day.

Earth Day
Eleventh graders from the High School of Mathematics and Natural
Science celebrated the Earth Day at the library.
They delivered presentations on environmental protection:
Air Pollution, Soil Pollution, Water Pollution

My Mathematical Profession
Ivan Vazov Library hosted the delivery of computer presentations on the
topic “My Mathematical Profession”. Eleventh graders from the High
School of Mathematics and Natural Science talked about how the
mathematical science is applied in statistics, environmental science,
sports, programming, etc.

22. Partnership with Hristo Botev 1884 Public Chitalishte
Reading Marathon 2012
Ivan Vazov Library in Botevgrad took part in the National Reading
Marathon with a number of events:
 Multimedia presentation of Andersen’s tales
 Reading of Bulgarian folktales
 Open bazaar of children’s books
 Children’s drawing contest
 Meetings with children’s authors
