Hardik Power of Youth.ppt
1.
2. • The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its
youth. The future of a nation lies in the hands of its
posterity.
• The quality of its youth determines the kind of future,
the nation will have.
• The youth of any nation and society are its potential
energy. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of
infinite energy.
• They are the ones who are the pride of the nation. It is
the youth which brings laurels to their country.
3. Young People are like dynamite. Dynamite can do great good
when used in the right way. It can pave the way for new
buildings, schools, lakes, highways, and numerous other
projects which will benefit mankind.
In the wrong hands, though, it can be used to take life, often
thousands of lives. Young people have the same potential for
good or bad.
4. It is undoubtedly accepted that the youth is the future of the
nation.
They have the enthusiasm and innovativeness to bring about
change. The power of youth must be harnessed properly to set the
society on the path of change.
India is in an advantageous position as a greater proportion of the
population is or will be entering their productive age. This is
called as ‘youth bulge’. Such a situation of ‘youth bulge’ helps the
country by providing abundant supply of workforce and
increasing the per capita output.
According to figures, youth form 18% of the world population. But
in case of India, 65% of the population is youth. This gives us a
great opportunity, but the opportunity can be capitalized if the
powers of youth harnessed properly.
5. They are idealistic. There are worlds to conquer, battles to
win, deeds to be done. They have not yet learned what can't
be done. They have not become jaded by life's heartbreaks
and defeats. And because they don't know what can't be
done, they often achieve great things.
They have boundless energy. They seem to never tire in
whatever work they passionately believe in. They don't tire
like the rest of us who have done enough that we often feel
like we need a rest.
They approach many things with a clean slate. They don't
have many of the old prejudices that we older adults have.
This is why there is often less of a problem with racial bigotry
among the young than among the old.
6. Youth is something very new: twenty years ago no one
mentioned it.
We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can
build our youth for the future.
Youth, which is forgiven everything, forgives itself nothing:
age, which forgives itself everything, is forgiven nothing.
Youth would be an ideal state if it came a little later in life.
7. No wise man ever wished to be younger.
In youth we learn; in age we understand.
To get back my youth I would do anything in the world,
except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable.
The deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by
tragedy.
8. • The youth can contribute to India’s success and progress
only if they are equipped with skills and knowledge. Youth
without relevant skills and knowledge can actually derail
the economy and create more trouble for the country.
• Governments are rolling out initiatives for all round
progress of the youth. Still much needed be done. The
youth are also expected to grow mentally to be competent
enough to play an important role in the nation building.
Their dedication, hard work, innovativeness and quest of
knowledge will not only help them to lead a satisfied life
but will also be their contribution towards making India a
superpower as dreamed by one of the role model of the
Indian youth, former president, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.
