- I decided to create this presentation as part of my reflection on the last 9 years as the Post Grad Diploma of Education Computing tutor. I struggled at first to come up with ideas but once I started the ideas flowed. Since I was to give this talk at TMCOMP and it was limited to 7 mins I decided to limit the number of lesson to 9.
- What do I mean by this? Well, basically, a good teacher knows stuff, lots of stuff. A good teacher is able to answer questions that pupils pose. Can expand on an idea and introduce new vocabulary… they can ask questions that challenge the pupil to think again about their understanding. Whilst Information Literacy is an important skill a pupil needs a more knowledgeable other to help them with the information that’s presented to them via the Web.
