THE ALHAMBRA PROJECT: the origins!
Originally: it was a proposal for a “MOOC”
course to know the history, art & heritage of
the Alhambra palace, with the support of the
Alhambra Council.!
Topics: introduction to the nasrid dynasty,
how the Palace was build restored and
preserved during centuries, an overview of the
surrounding places (albaizin), the architecture
and daily-life. Some of these sites was plenty
of legends (i.e. tales of Washington Irving). !
For a wide general audience: the aims are:
learning, experiencing, engagement and
collaboration to create an online community !

MEDIA TECHNOLOGY!
Several storytelling media were used. !
•  The MOOC course was built on a LMS
(moodle) based on short video chapters (3’)
for learning, participation (forum) and social
media (twitter) using #MOOCAlhambra
hashtag. !
•  Legends (the wizard and the princess, based
on W. Irving tales) is based on a comic-style
web serie on youtube. !
•  Role playing game based on a mobile app
geolocation map where users become fan-
tribes following on youtube/facebook four
main character (twitter fiction identities). !

Originally: it was a proposal for a “MOOC” course to know the history, art & heritage of the Alhambra palace, with the support of the Alhambra Council.! Topics: introduction to the nasrid dynasty, how the Palace was build restored and preserved during centuries, an overview of the surrounding places (albaizin), the architecture and daily-life. Some of these sites was plenty of legends (i.e. tales of Washington Irving). ! For a wide general audience: the aims are: learning, experiencing, engagement and collaboration to create an online community !

Irving tales) is based on a comic-style web serie on youtube. ! •  Role playing game based on a mobile app geolocation map where users become fan- tribes following on youtube/facebook four main character (twitter fiction identities). !
