Our Favorite Animals Created By Room 203
Dolphins A small dolphin  is 5 feet long and a big dolphin is 18 feet long.  Dolphins live all over the world. The dolphins are members of the whale family. I  wish I  could see a dolphin some  day in  the ocean.
Scorpions Scorpions are thought as desert animals.   Young scorpions climb on their mother’s back to get around.  Scorpions   defensive action is to sting.  Its   life span is usually 3 to 4 years.
Penguins The penguin is 35 to 37inches tall. They live in Antarctica , South Africa , New Zealand , Australia , Chile , Peru , and Galapagos Island. If a penguin is on diet it eats squid, shellfish, and fish. What I like about penguins is it can slide on it’s stomach.
Orangutan They are 4 to 5 feet tall. They live in high trees. They eat bananas, leaves, and bark. They swing on trees. They are mammals.
Emperor Penguin The animal I chose for this report is the Emperor penguin. The Emperor penguin lives in the big continent of  Antarctica. The Emperor Penguin dives in the water  to catch fish and squid. I  picked  this animal because it is cute and they swim very cleverly.
C actus Wren The cactus wren has a white belly & brown spots.  The cactus wren’s home is a nest that is built on  a cactus. The cactus wren eats grass hopper’s, fruit, beetles, ants, some times frogs & lizards. The reason I picked this animal is because it has a cool color & it can stand on a cactus.
The Killer Whale The male orca can grow up 23 feet. Orcas are found in the Artic Ocean. Orcas like to eat fish, squid, birds, penguins, seals, other mammals. The killer whale is a mammal.
Raccoon The raccoon is from  North and South America. The raccoon belongs to the mammal group They live in tall trees . I picked the raccoon for my animal report  because it is the mascot of Ritter.
Grizzly  Bear A Grizzly can run up to 35-40 miles per  hour. The Grizzly eats up to 40  pounds  of  food  each  day. The Grizzly weighs  to 200-400 pounds. They can  eat many  things.
Sea Otter The Sea Otter can close their ears and nose underwater.  The Sea Otter can  break  a shell with a stone to get food.  The Sea Otter can  weigh  up  to  45 to 80 pounds. You can find  the Sea  Otter  in  California, Alaska, Washington, Russia, and  Japan.
The  Snow Shoe Hare Did you know that this rabbit lives in Alaska. They are clever because they camouflage themselves in the snow. Their eyes shine when I look at them. They can be called rabbits or hares.
Brown   bears Brown bears are interesting animals because of the way they eat. Brown bear can grow up to twelve feet tall. They grow so much fur they can be warm through the winter. Brown bears live in the forest and  in small or big caves.
Stingray Stingrays have flat bodies to go under the sand and to protect them from danger. They swim with  a  flying motion.
Spider Monkey The color of the spider monkey is  golden brown.  Spider monkeys live in South America.  The spider monkey is a mammal.  I wish that I could see a spider monkey.
Polar Bear Polar bears can stalk their prey.  Their favorite meal are seals.  They can swim 100 hundred miles, Wow! Polar Bears are really tall when they stand up they are even taller than your dad!
Cheetahs Cheetahs are the fastest mammal on land.  They can run 60 or 70 miles and hour. An adult cheetah weighs up to 86 to 147 pounds.  Cheetahs eat small animals to medium animals.  Cheetahs need about half hour to catch it’s breath.
They are many sizes but many of them are big. They have many cool designs with a lot of colors. They are in the reptile family. They like to eat rodents, birds and mice. Mice are their favorite food. Snakes
Kingfisher Did you know that the kingfisher size is 11-14 inches? The kingfisher is found on the  continent of North America.  When kingfisher flies he then plunges into the water when he sees a fish. I picked this bird because he eats fish  and I like fish.
Chimpanzees Did you know that a chimpanzees skull resembles to a human skull? Most of a chimpanzees habitat is in jungles and they live in trees. Chimpanzees eat many different foods so here are some they eat insects, eggs and meat. Chimpanzees use tools and they use a rock to open nuts and coconuts.
Polar   bear Polar bears eat eels.  They can swim 100 miles.  A  polar bear is  very tall when it stands.  A  polar bear is a mammal .
Wolves Wolves can have 4 to7 pups at a time. Wolves can eat 20 pounds of meat in a sitting. Wolves are known to live off of eating larger animals like deer, and moose.  Wolves are wild animals they are often located in the northern part of the earth.
