2. WHO WE ARE
• BCOP, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded in 2010 by
Roderick Cunningham in honor of his mother, Evangelist Beverly
Cunningham Brown. Mrs. Brown endured years of mental and
verbal abuse and was brutally murdered by her husband on
October 27, 2009.
• Our mission is to provide individual and group counseling,
advocacy and rehabilitation services to survivors of domestic
violence.
• The foundation also seeks to be an outlet for community youth
who are at risk of becoming victims of violence, substance abuse
or who are impacted by health issues.

• PAM, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, uses the performing arts
as a catalyst for social change with the goal of driving awareness
to initiatives, organizations and events related to advocacy and
education of societal issues.
• Our mission is to create a winning atmosphere and experience for
artists across all genres who have established themselves as
promoting positive, uplifting artistry through music, theater,
literary works and visual art.

3. ALARMING STATS
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE &
SEXUAL ABUSE
• Every 9 seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten
• Around the world, at least one in every three women has
been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during
her lifetime.
• Most often, the abuser is a member of her own family
• Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—
more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
• Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some
form of domestic violence annually.
• Every day in the U.S., more than three women are murdered
by their husband, domestic partner, or boyfriend.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
• Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery where
people profit from the control and exploitation of others.
• The International Labor Organization estimates that
forced labor and human trafficking is a $150 billion
industry worldwide.and that there are 20.9 million
victims of human trafficking globally, including 5.5 million
children. 55% are women and girls.
• In 2014, the National Center for Missing & Exploited
Children estimated that 1 in 6 endangered
runaways reported to them were likely sex
trafficking victims..
• Atlanta, GA has been designated the number one
hub for human trafficking while Birmingham, AL
has been designated as number two.

6. WHY THIS CONFERENCE?
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE
• To connect, inspire, and empower young adults,
parents, community & business leaders, educators,
advocates, educators, government officials, and the
community at large to become aware of and take
action against domestic violence, sexual abuse and
human trafficking.
• We will accomplish this objective through
'Edutainment' including the showing of the award
winning theatrical production RIMSHOT Urban
Musical, celebrity guest appearances, keynote
addresses, interactive learning seminars, break-out
sessions, and panel discussions.
• Attendees will include Middle and High School
Students, College Students, Parents, Teachers &
Professors, Community Activists, Behavioral
Specialists/Counselors, Attorneys, local and regional
Citizens from the Southeastern States, Business
Professionals & Entrepreneurs, Law Enforcement,
