Importance of Food Preservation:
Food preservation increases the food supply. Food
preservation decreases the wastage of food. Excess foods
which would have otherwise been wasted, when processed
and preserved add to the existing supplies, thus also
decreasing the wastage of food.
Food preservation decreases dietary inadequacies. Variety in
diet is brought about with the help of preserved foods.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 kg pork
2 cans of pineapple juice
50 ml soy sauce
2 tbs. brown sugar
3 cloves of garlic
20 ml gin
Pepper
Salt
Benefits from the Ingredients:
Pork is a red meat and is derived from pig. It is high in
protein and essential vitamins , minerals and amino acid
good for overall health. Lean pork, when trimmed of visible
fat, is nutrient-dense, satisfying, and good for you.
Pineapple juice has a large amount of helpful nutrients in
each serving. Things like potassium, calcium, high levels of
vitamins C and B6, and low glycemic carbohydrates found
within the fruit juice provide consumers with numerous
health benefits. Pineapple juice also contains high levels of
manganese, a mineral that predominately helps form healthy
connective tissue and bones. Manganese works to absorb
more calcium, metabolize carbohydrates and fats, plus
increases regular nerve function.
Garlic
contains health promoting phyto-nutrient
substances that have proven benefits against coronary artery
diseases,
infections
and
cancers.

Wash the pork and place it in a container.
Pour the pineapple juice in the container.
Add the soy sauce.
Mix in the garlic.
Add the sugar.
Massage the pork to spread the mixture.
Add the gin and a little of salt and pepper.
Store in the refrigerator for
one week before cooking.
