  1. Behavior tracker pro is not software for students but for their teachers. This app works on the iPhone or iPod touch and provides a quick and efficient way to collect data on multiple behaviors frequency and duration. Graphs can be created on single behaviors or across multiple days.
  2. Want to try out something simple, then borrow an iPod touch and download the free app called SmallTalk Aphasia. The app comes with a list of phrases, that are all vocalized with a single touch. This app would not be appropriate for long term use but might be an easy way to assess the suitability of the device.
  3. This app is only 189 for a full featured communication system! Communication that fits into a pocket and helps students look like any other student in the school. Videos are available on YouTube describing how to use and program the Proloque2Go and one shows a student using it to present his book report.
  4. For only $50 this app can be used by parents or teachers to assist students with schedules. Images can be added to the library to create visual schedules, visual counters, or allow choice.
  5. The Conover company markets their functional skills videos for the iPod Touch. These videos can be taken into the community to provide visual prompts and reminders for functional skills. Current research in the area of video modeling indicates that it can be a powerful for prompting and training tool. Fortunately software programs provide easy access to training. In addition teachers can easily create and edit their own training videos using one of the new low cost small camcorders such as the Flip Video.
