15. Part 3 Coronary heart disease is one of the first ‘killers’ in the world. Stent implant is a common procedure performed by doctors to treat patients whose heart arteries have been clogged with deposits of cholesterol. The stent serves to keep open blocked arteries so that adequate blood flow can be restored to the heart. If blood flow through the arteries is reduced, the heart muscle may not receive enough oxygen, and chest pain (angina) or breathlessness result. A heart attack occurs when an artery becomes completely blocked. Task 2 You are required to give your comments on the advantages and disadvantages of a stent implant in the forum .
