11. Reading Program
(Start in October)
Reading program aims at building up students’
reading habit and interests.
Please sign the reading log and remind he/she
return the book on every Tuesday.
* Every Thursday, our class goes to the library in Chinese
time. Please also remind your child to bring the Chinese
library book back on Tuesday.
$150 is to be paid for any lost book.

Chinese. Homework will be assigned Everyday expect
Fridays.
• Homework includes:

Oral presentation (e. g. listening&speaking, role play,
oral interactive activities)
Reading assessment (e.g. reading text, reading program,
short stories)
Assessing word recognition and constructing sentences
Assessing understanding and applying learnt information

17. Assessment
Observation will be carried out while the kids are singing and
saying rhymes, having simple conversation taught, doing role
plays, being engaged in reading simple books, recognizing
words taught, etc.
The teachers will be observing the children throughout the year
during the learning and teaching process, in order to assess
their development in terms of Listening & Speaking, Reading
and Writing skills.
