A major benefit of email is that you can
 send one email to many people

 You can write one email inviting friends to
 a party and send it to all of your contacts

    Send a copy of a message to someone
     who would be interested, but is not directly
     involved

    Has its origin from the days of manual
     typing where typists would use carbon
     paper to produce a 2nd copy of a
     document
