                   THE NEW FARM ALONSO TADEO

UPEC Last year, thanks to the
                                       donation of an Ecuadorian
                                       businessman named Jose
Vergara, got a new farm which is
                                       located in the Mira Canton.

This farm has 35 hectares and
also has an irrigation system, so
                                   that this property has everything
needed to plant any crop in warm
                                   weather as bananas,
watermelons, tomatoes, cassava, etc.

The donor, however, put a condition so that this property belongs
definitely to the university, this condition is to make the farm produce in
2 years and do work with people in the community, therefore,
necessary that the faculty industry agricultural and environmental
sciences meet these requirements.

We students, therefore, through this farm, we learned to grow in a
warm climate; moreover, we have supplemented the learning with
practices in order to improve our academic quality.

We students, therefore, with this property we have learned to plant in
warm weather, on the other hand we have complemented with
practical learning in order to improve our academic quality.

The farm Alonso Tadeo therefore contributes to the development of the
Conception parish and also provide with much knowledge.

Every year I usually travel to the beaches of
Atacames with my uncle, he always invites
                           me to go.

                           What amuses me
                           most is shopping

                                     President Rafael Correa has
                                     designated 2000 the offer of
                                     scholarships to Ecuadorians
                                     through SENESCYT, titles for
third and fourth level, for this
reason it is calling on all
                                     students who register on the
website of this institution and to
make your dream come true and

                                     competent professional.

The main advantage of these grants is to develop human talent
Ecuador to strengthen the strategic areas that allow scientific and
technological development of our country to achieve the objectives of
good living. Another advantage of these grants is that low-income
students can study in other countries.

One possible disadvantage may be that these scholarships are very
demanding and our national academic level can’t compete with
international academic standards.

In conclusion I think that these grants are useful tools for the
advancement of our country and contributing to scientific and
technological development.

4 years ago, when I was at school in

                                    beaches of Atacames with my
                                    classmates and my teacher. When
we arrived at the beach, we were
looking for a hotel to drop our bags
and put to sea. We stayed in
Atacames for 3 days. I wore my
bathing suit and went out to sea, I was walking along the beach and
collecting sea shells, while I did this my friends were buying some
delicious ice cream in the market. I spend that day something terrible, I
take a crab when suddenly bitten me. On second day in the morning
we went sailing on the sea and we watched dolphins and blue-footed
boobies, they were very beautiful, I took photograph dolphins, while
they were jumping into the sea. In the afternoon we were walking in the
market and bought back many memories. I bought some beautiful
earrings. The next day we went to visit an aquarium, there were many
fishes of different species, as I watched the fish, the teacher was
explaining about the fish life, this was very interesting. At night we went
dancing at the huts that were near the sea. This night, my friend Vicky
was drinking too much because she was very sad. This was the last
day in Atacames.
The next day back home, we were
visiting other beaches like Sua and
Muisne, in this place we ate y took
                                   many pictures. Also visited some
villages where they sell delicious food and there are places to fish.

This was an unforgettable trip……

                        CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
Conditionals in English are used in sentences, in which indicates the action to take
if a condition fulfilled.

There are several ways to make conditionals in English, depending on the context
and tense surrounding the actions involved.

The use of the conditional means, that an action is dependent on another.
Conditionals are used to discuss real or unreal. In general, conditional sentences
have the word "if" (if).

Note that there is no conditional tense for the English and available in Spanish. At
the same time, use the auxiliary verb "would" to form the conditional in English.

There are four types of conditional statements and the use of one another reflects
the probability of action.

                              CONDITIONAL TYPES

ZERO CONDITIONAL

Use this type when the condition of the conditional and the result is always true,
such as scientific facts.

              IF Condition Result
              If Present simple Present simple

Examples

 If you heat water to 100° C, it boils. / Water boils if you heat it to 100° C.
 If I don't practice the piano every day I play poorly. / I play the piano
poorly if I don't practice every day.
 Does your mom get mad if you don't call her? / If you don't call your mom,
     does she get mad?

Note: We can change the order of the sentences without changing the meaning.
Also, in general this type of conditional, we can replace "if" to "when" without
altering the meaning.

FIRST CONDITIONAL

This type of conditionalis uses for the future and in cases where it is likely that the
condition will pass.

               IF Condition Result
If Present simple Future simple ("will")

Examples

 If I miss the bus, I will take a taxi.
 If you study, you will pass the exam
 If you train, you will run faster
 If Bill studies, he will pass the exam. / Bill will pass the exam if he
     studies.
 If it doesn't rain, we will go to the beach. / We will go to the beach if it
     doesn't rain.
 Will you take the train if you miss the bus? / If you miss the bus, will you
     take the train?

Note: You can use some modal verbs instead of "will" to change the likelihood or
express an opinion. For more information, see the lesson on modal verbs.

Examples

 If it doesn't rain, we may go to the beach.
 If it doesn't rain we should go to the beach.
 If it doesn't rain we can go to the beach.
SECOND CONDITIONAL

Type 2 is used to express an unreal possibility in the present, as a wish or a
dream, or for an action in the future not as likely.

              IF Condition Result
If Past simple "Would" + infinitivo

Examples

 If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world. / I would travel around
the world if I won the lottery.
 If Rachel had more time, she would learn to play the guitar. / Rachel
would learn to play the guitar if she had more time.
 Would you be happy if you were to get married? / If you were to get
     married, would you be happy?

THIRD CONDITIONAL

In contrast to types 1 and 2, is using the third type of conditional when we speak of
a condition in the past that has not happened.

                   IF Condition Result
                   If Pastperfect "Wouldhave" + pastparticiple

Examples

 If I had known then, what I know now, I would have done things
differently. / I would have done things differently if I had known then what I
     know now.
 Suzanne wouldn't have had the heart attack if she had gone on a diet as
her doctor recommended. / If Suzanne had gone on a diet as her doctor
recommended she wouldn't have had the heart attack.
 Would you have liked to go to university if you had been able to afford it? /
If you had been able to afford it, would you have liked to go to university?

Note: As the types 1 and 2, you can use other modal verbs instead of "would" to
change the meaning and probability.
EXAMPLES ABOUT CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

 If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world.
 If I were in Brazil, I would go to Rio de Janeiro.
 If I were you, I would buy that car.
 If he were in my place, he wouldn't do this.
 If I had more money, I would buy a nice apartment.
 If she had more time, she would travel more often.
 If it were not raining, we could go out.
 If we didn't have to work today, we could have a picnic.
 If they won the lottery, they wouldn't work anymore.
 If I saw her, I would ask her out.
 If you went to Brazil, you wouldn't want to come back.
 If they spoke Spanish, we would understand them.
 If he didn't live by the river, he couldn't go fishing.
 If I didn't want to go, I would tell you.
 If they worked for that company, they might have better salaries.
 If she wrote a book, it would be a best-seller.

PLEASE WRITE DOWN ABOUT SOME CONDITIONAL SITUATIONS

I've always been a very studious and responsible girl but this semester
my grades have dropped and I am very concerned because if I don´t
study I will lose the semester and so I would be very sad. But if I study
hard I will be able to get good grades and finish my career. If I finish
my career, I may go to study in other countries and get a PhD in
biological sciences.
I have a son, these last days he is sick because last week we went to
walk the Paramo del Angel and this day it rained very hard. If I had
known that this day would rain I would not have gone to that walk with
my son and he was not sick. If I had known this, I would have carried
an umbrella and we had not wet.

Tomorrow I have a trip to Ibarra for an investigation. If I perform well I
may research much learn interesting things and I can also get my PhD,
because this research, I get a prerequisite for studying in another
country and get a PhD. I feel a little sick, think I will give flu. If I do not
take any medications, so I could get sick and I could not go on the trip
and would lose all my dreams of studying in another country.

DISADVANTAGES OF WORKING IN TEAM IN THE UNIVERSITY. YOU CAN
MENTION TOPICS ABOUT STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND AUTHORITIES
Thanks to teamwork, university is a dream come true, for its creation have worked
many groups of people such as students, workers, teachers and authorities.

The advantages of teamwork are many

University teachers work in teams always looking out for the welfare of students.
Policy provides university students with ideas to improve education and
development of the university. The team of people working at the university, help
keep always cleans our university.

generates enthusiasm for the result is satisfactory in the tasks.
 Teamwork generates values that are our foundation of social coexistence.
Familiar with them and learn will facilitate our integration into society.
 Teamwork requires communication, organization, coordination, discussion,
in a set of tasks that in them are an important active learning.
 Group work allows different points of view when making a decision; this
enriches the work and minimizes frustrations.
 We can exchange views respecting the ideas of others:
 Achieve better integration between people in order to know the qualifications
     of members.
 Increase the quality of work to take decisions by consensus.
 It strengthens the collectivist spirit and commitment to the organization.
 Reduced time in investigations by providing group and discuss solutions.
 There is a greater acceptance of the solutions.
Disadvantages of working in a team are very few and almost always generated by
poor organization in the working group.

Some disadvantages are:

    Make decisions prematurely.
 A reign of dominance of few people, including a leader.
 Drink plenty of time in meetings discussing solutions and actions, delaying
     its implementation.
 That there are pressures on team members to accept solutions.

With teamwork we have that our university is among the best universities in the
Province of Carchi and with the same effort we will make our university, come to be
in the best universities in Ecuador.

PLEASE UPLOAD YOR RESEARCHING ABOUT THE PASSIVE VOCIE.

                                 PASSIVE VOICE

INTRODUCTION

Use

We use the passive voice to emphasize the action rather than is responsible for it.

Formation

The passive voice is formed with the verb be in the appropriate form and the past
participle of the verb of the sentence. The person who causes or carries out the
action is called an agent and is preceded by the preposition by.

DETAILED EXPLANATION

1. - It is said that a sentence is passive when the verb meaning is received by the
grammatical person whom it concerns:
Buenos Aires was founded by Pedro de Mendoza.

2. - Is formed with the auxiliary verb to be and the past participle of the verb is
conjugated.

3. - The complement of the active sentence becomes the passive subject. As in
Castilian, the subject of the active agent may retain as a subject.

4. - When a verb has two plug-ins can make two passive structures:

A book was sent to Tom by Mr. Smith

                       MODEL IN PASSIVE VOICE VERB

                                   TO BE SEEN
                     Present Past
I am seen I was seen
you are seen you were seen
he is seen he was seen
we are seen we were seen
you are seen you were seen
they are seen they were seen
                     Present perfect Future
I have been seen I shall be seen
you have been seen you will be seen
he has been seen he will be seen
we have been seen we shall be seen
you have been seen you will be seen
they have been seen they will be seen

Past perfect:I had been seen

Conditional: I should be seen

Future perfect:I shall have been seen

Conditional perfect:I should have been seen

To construct the passive voice is necessary that the sentence in active voice count
direct object that is answering the question "what?"

For example:

My sister lost the keys

What else lost my sister?
The keys (this is the direct object)

Then the direct object set will take the place of subject, the subject of the active
voice becomes the agent accompanied complement of the preposition BY and the
main verb in past participle is placed accompanied by the verb TO BE in the time it
is the active voice.

For example:

My sister lost the keys.

The keys were lost by my sister.

Notice in the passive sentence that "the keys" take the place of subject, "by my
sister" is the complement agent and the main verb in past participle is now
accompanied by the verb to be (were) in the simple past for prayer was in the
active tense.

PLEASE WRITE AN ESSAY ABOUT TOPICS RELATED TO YOUR
                        CARRER

IMPORTANCE OF MY CAREER

The farm is related to agriculture
                           and livestock. The Agricultural
                           Engineering program aims to train
                           professionals proficient in science,
                           technology and production
                           processes and farm management.

                            Becoming an Agricultural
                            engineer has many advantages,
because you are able to respond
                            efficiently and effectively to the
                            problems of farmers, making
                            them increase production,
                            improve quality and reduce
costs. Also you can stand out as
                            independent farmer, steward of
                            the environment and agricultural
                            enterprises, extension service
official or private business and research in the various processes of
production and agricultural marketing.

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. At present there are
few agricultural engineers, so that labor demand is
lower. In some cases that become agricultural
engineers is not developed in the workplace, have
no desire to undertake. Also there are very few
people interested in studying this career. They
think it's a career without a future in which you will
not find work and so they choose other careers.

In conclusion, this race is very important because if you do not produce
food no human population and thus affected the development of our
country. Becoming an engineer farming requires you to have much call
for this race you like to live with the plants and animals.

and animal species, plus they venturing
determinedly on tasks inherent to agricultural
and agro-industrial areas, and setting policies
quality and excellence for sustainable use of
natural resources, as for the generation and

All these fields allow us to develop our business
skills and abilities contributing to the
                                  development of our country.

because they think there are not many jobs. So I
think we as students of the school of agricultural

fields of work in which we can work for them to
                                  decide to study this race.

Note:

In the exhibition I will further expand the occupational profile subject about having

WRITE SENTENCES WHICH EVIDENCE THE USE OF THE NEW WORDS AND
                EXPRESSIONS STUDIED IN CLASS

I'm always in a hurry, when I go to work

When Milena has much stress, she is always in a bad mood.

The Mile and I have something in common; we both like chocolate ice
cream

If you have an accident, you should call the fire department

I love nature, plants and animals in particular

In general I study every day.

I look at my neighbor every day at home; I believe that he is out of
work.

When my sister does her aerobics, she is out of breath.

My brother told me who took my car; I'm out of the question he.

I have out of my mind the activities that I have to do next week.

The condor is in danger of extinction.

The trainer keeps in control the lion during the show.

Nature is in sight of all the public.

Mauricio is in trouble when he comes home late.

My dad always likes to have in order your tool working.

In Ecuador the trains are out of use.

Topic: CONDITIONAL SENTENCES Conditionals in English are used in sentences, in which indicates the action to take if a condition fulfilled. There are several ways to make conditionals in English, depending on the context and tense surrounding the actions involved. The use of the conditional means, that an action is dependent on another. Conditionals are used to discuss real or unreal. In general, conditional sentences have the word "if" (if). Note that there is no conditional tense for the English and available in Spanish. At the same time, use the auxiliary verb "would" to form the conditional in English. There are four types of conditional statements and the use of one another reflects the probability of action. CONDITIONAL TYPES ZERO CONDITIONAL Use this type when the condition of the conditional and the result is always true, such as scientific facts. IF Condition Result If Present simple Present simple Examples  If you heat water to 100° C, it boils. / Water boils if you heat it to 100° C.

Note: We can change the order of the sentences without changing the meaning. Also, in general this type of conditional, we can replace "if" to "when" without altering the meaning. FIRST CONDITIONAL This type of conditionalis uses for the future and in cases where it is likely that the condition will pass. IF Condition Result If Present simple Future simple ("will") Examples  If I miss the bus, I will take a taxi.  If you study, you will pass the exam  If you train, you will run faster  If Bill studies, he will pass the exam. / Bill will pass the exam if he studies.  If it doesn't rain, we will go to the beach. / We will go to the beach if it doesn't rain.  Will you take the train if you miss the bus? / If you miss the bus, will you take the train? Note: You can use some modal verbs instead of "will" to change the likelihood or express an opinion. For more information, see the lesson on modal verbs. Examples  If it doesn't rain, we may go to the beach.  If it doesn't rain we should go to the beach.  If it doesn't rain we can go to the beach.
  • 23. SECOND CONDITIONAL Type 2 is used to express an unreal possibility in the present, as a wish or a dream, or for an action in the future not as likely. IF Condition Result If Past simple "Would" + infinitivo Examples  If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world. / I would travel around the world if I won the lottery.  If Rachel had more time, she would learn to play the guitar. / Rachel would learn to play the guitar if she had more time.  Would you be happy if you were to get married? / If you were to get married, would you be happy? THIRD CONDITIONAL In contrast to types 1 and 2, is using the third type of conditional when we speak of a condition in the past that has not happened. IF Condition Result If Pastperfect "Wouldhave" + pastparticiple Examples  If I had known then, what I know now, I would have done things differently. / I would have done things differently if I had known then what I know now.  Suzanne wouldn't have had the heart attack if she had gone on a diet as her doctor recommended. / If Suzanne had gone on a diet as her doctor recommended she wouldn't have had the heart attack.  Would you have liked to go to university if you had been able to afford it? / If you had been able to afford it, would you have liked to go to university? Topic: PLEASE UPLOAD YOR RESEARCHING ABOUT THE PASSIVE VOCIE. PASSIVE VOICE INTRODUCTION Use We use the passive voice to emphasize the action rather than is responsible for it. Formation The passive voice is formed with the verb be in the appropriate form and the past participle of the verb of the sentence. The person who causes or carries out the action is called an agent and is preceded by the preposition by. DETAILED EXPLANATION 1. - It is said that a sentence is passive when the verb meaning is received by the grammatical person whom it concerns:
  • 33. Buenos Aires was founded by Pedro de Mendoza. 2. - Is formed with the auxiliary verb to be and the past participle of the verb is conjugated. 3. - The complement of the active sentence becomes the passive subject. As in Castilian, the subject of the active agent may retain as a subject. 4. - When a verb has two plug-ins can make two passive structures: A book was sent to Tom by Mr. Smith MODEL IN PASSIVE VOICE VERB TO BE SEEN Present Past I am seen I was seen you are seen you were seen he is seen he was seen we are seen we were seen you are seen you were seen they are seen they were seen Present perfect Future I have been seen I shall be seen you have been seen you will be seen he has been seen he will be seen we have been seen we shall be seen you have been seen you will be seen they have been seen they will be seen Past perfect:I had been seen Conditional: I should be seen Future perfect:I shall have been seen Conditional perfect:I should have been seen To construct the passive voice is necessary that the sentence in active voice count direct object that is answering the question "what?" For example: My sister lost the keys What else lost my sister?
  • 34. The keys (this is the direct object) Then the direct object set will take the place of subject, the subject of the active voice becomes the agent accompanied complement of the preposition BY and the main verb in past participle is placed accompanied by the verb TO BE in the time it is the active voice. For example: My sister lost the keys. The keys were lost by my sister. Notice in the passive sentence that "the keys" take the place of subject, "by my sister" is the complement agent and the main verb in past participle is now accompanied by the verb to be (were) in the simple past for prayer was in the active tense.
