2. Your First Setting
•Log into your WordPress site
http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin
•On the left dashboard menu, look for settings
•Under general tab in settings, click edit
o In this tab you can edit information such as the
title site that shows up in the homepage
•Click save so changes can take place!

4. Install Theme
To install your theme…
Dashboard Menu > Appearance > Themes > activate
Refresh the site to see your brand new theme in action!
Changing your Theme
Dashboard > Menu > Appearance > Themes > Install
Theme > Activate
You can browse or upload a theme you downloaded .
To preview your themes…
Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > and click
Preview under the theme

•On the next screen click “Install Themes”

7. Create Pages
Dashboard Menu Pages > Add new
Delete a page
Delete a page by clicking “move to trash” under
“publish” in the pages screen. If you accidentally
delete a page, you can restore it by immediately
clicking “undo” on the confirmation screen.
Give page a Name - add text to box under “Edit Page”
Publish page - click Publish when your content is ready
Update page - click Update
Add text - Add content and hit update to save and
implement the changes!
9. Add A Header Image
To Add Image
Go to Appearance > Header > Upload Image >
Save Changes
To Remove Image
Appearance > Header > Remove Header
Image > Save Changes

Plugin:

functionality that your site did not have
before it was installed.
12. Install Plugins
Search a Plugin: Dashboard > Plugins> Add> New Search> Type in
keywords and browse
Install the Plugin: Click on “Install” and it will be imported to your
Plugin folder in your WordPress Dashboard
Activate the Plugin: Click “Activate” to activate the Plugins
Configure the Plugin: Plugin setup and configuration settings may
vary and it can be found on the Plugin's site

Update the Plugin
Deactivate the Plugin: Go to Plugins finding the desired Plugin, and
clicking “Deactivate”

►Browse for the Plugin on your Computer
►Click “Upload” and then

►Find YouTube Video
►Click the “share” button right below the video
►Click on Embed
►Choose the size right below
►Now, copy the text that shows up below
►Paste it to your page in your WordPress Dashboard

Dashboard > Settings> Discussion
Scroll to the bottom and edit the settings for
your avatar!
