2. What have I learnt during the
making of the video?
From this task I have learnt
How to set up shots for filming, E.g. positioning of camera, and
using tripods.
I also learnt that as a group we needed to manage our time
better because due to problems we gained when filming we lost
time, this left us rushing last minute.
We also had problems with continuity because of our time lost
during filming because of not being prepared when rushing last
minute.
Something else we learnt was how to use peoples strong points,
for example someone in our group had previous experience in
filming and editing so they filmed and showed us how to edited.
3. Areas Of Success
Things that went well
include
The finished film I feel
went well, the video
looked professional,
with great editing
techniques used. One
example of this would
be the CCTV footage
effect, made it look
authentic and just like
actual CCTV footage.
4. Areas of Success, Continued…
Our group dynamics
our group I thought worked well as a team, I feel we all
had input into the whole production of the task,
everyone's ideas were listened to to produce something
that everyone's had their own part in.
Some Effective shots
5. Areas For Development
• One problem we had was our Time Planning
We didn't’t plan our time to the best we could, this lead to us
running on the last leg, filming last minute and loosing our
continuity.
One thing we can do to improve this would be planning our time
before we started so we have enough time to do what we
needed to do.
• Another problem would have been Continuity
our continuity didn't’t flow as there was a change in the clothes
Bobby wore, and the location where we filmed. It would have
been better if there was continuity in our piece.
We could have erased this error by planning our time more so
we knew when we was filming so we could be ready to film.
6. How well did you meet the
brief?
In our piece we used shots such as match
on action and shot/ reverse shot. This is to
meet the brief.
7. Feedback from others.
3 Good Things
The use of camera angles in the opening scene
when Bobby is walking into school.
The POV of him looking in the classroom
The CCTV camera effect
3 things to improve
x Include music / soundtrack
x Continuity of clothes on Bobby
x The shot of the double doors at the end lasts too
long
8. My contribution
In our piece I feel I did get involved in a lot of parts.
For example I was in the piece and acted alongside
Bobby. I also helped editing, contributing ideas and
creating the CCTV effect as well.
Skills I have gained from doing this include editing
techniques and filming techniques.
I think I have worked well as part of my group
because I have contributed to developing ideas as
well as being involved hands on with filming and
editing.
