2. I found out that out of 11, 4
people were male and 7 were
female. This helps know who my
audience are and what I can do
to make my documentary
appeal to them.
Finding out the ages of people
allows me to know what age
range I will aim my
documentary towards and how
I can ensure it appeals to them.
3. I found out that 10/11 of my audience watch documentaries – due to the
teenage age range of most of the participants, this allows me to know that my
target audience are the correct audience for my documentary. Finding out
how often people watch documentaries gives me an indication of how likely
those people would view my documentary – e.g. the 9 people who watch
documentaries either weekly/monthly are more likely to watch my
documentary once it is made.
4. I found out that 7/11 people
watch music documentaries –
6/7 of those are between the
ages of 1-25, which is my main

interested in watching a
documentary about music fans.

most of those in the survey
were teenage, it allows me to
focus on what I need to plan
to please these people in terms
of my documentary.

features of a documentary,
those being surveyed
believed that Camera
shots/angles, Narration
Voiceover, Good filming,
Good audio and Good
Editing is what they find
important in a documentary.
This allows me to know that I
need to focus specifically on
these features to create a
successful documentary
that looks pretty
professional.
7. Out of 11 people that took part in the survey, 9 people
stated they would be interested in watching a
documentary on teenage music fans. This is useful to
me as it shows that those who I intended my target
audience to be aimed at, would actually be interested
in a documentary on teenage music fans.
8. From this question, I have found that
including a narrator in the documentary

an additional 1/11 said that it isn’t
necessarily important to include a
narrator, but occasional input from a
