7. 12 But Moses’ hands
grew weary; so they
took a stone and put it
under him, and he sat
upon it,
and Aaron and Hur
held up his hands, one
on one side
8. , and the other on the
other side; so his hands
were steady until the
going down of the sun.
13 And Joshua mowed
down Am′alek and his
people with the edge of
the sword.
9. 14 And the LORD said to
Moses, “Write this as
a memorial in a book
and recite it in the
ears of Joshua, that
I will utterly blot out
the remembrance of
Am′alek from under
heaven.”
10. 15 And Moses built an altar
and called the name of it,
The LORD is my banner,
16 saying, “A hand upon the
banner of the LORD!
11. The LORD will have war with Am′alek
from generation to generation.”
15. we are to look to the LORD who stands
before us and rally behind Him...
the LORD gives us a vision of Himself,
in the Scriptures and in our own
experience, of His trustworthiness.
16. Our help is in the Name of the Lord
who made heaven and earth (Ps 120)

around at night, is a remarkably
agile creature in the air, but
cannot take off from a level
place.
The, all at once, it takes off in a flash.
If it is placed on a floor or flat ground, all it can do is
shuffle around helplessly and, no doubt, painfully,
until it reaches some slight elevation from which it
can throw itself into the air.

We Struggle with problems and frustrations, never
