What is Social Networking Site ?
SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE allows
intended users to communicate with
people, share ideas, activities, events, and
interests within their individual networks.
eg. Facebook, Orkut etc.
What is SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE
FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS?
• We define our “SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE“,
as a web-based service that allows students to
construct a public or semi-public profile within a
bounded system.
• Articulate a list of other users with whom they
share a connection, and
• View and traverse their list of connections and
those made by others within the system.
How our site differs from other
social networking sites?
• “SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE FOR COLLEGE
STUDENTS” is being specially designed with
respect to the educational concern for the
students. The registered users (students) can
upload, download, share educational stuff via.
Notes, Blogs. It also gives the user facilities for
question-answers based interactive study.
Objective
• To have attractive and Secure Login page
to access
• Make new user account in more user
friendly and proper validation of details
• Search People easily on entire network
• Send Friend Request to other users to
make friends
Objective
• Upload and Share Notes, Questionnaires,
Images on network
• Create and share Blogs for educational
activities
• Chat with Online friends
• Creating a public profile having social,
professional and personal information
SCOPE
• The SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE is an online
community designed to make social life more active and
stimulating. The social network can help you maintain
existing relationships with students and share Notes &
messages, and establish interactive communication
between other registered students.
• The SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE also provides the
features of blogging all at one place. The main idea
behind blogging is to share your thoughts with all your
friends which can be read by all the users using the
website. This blog can be handled by the user as he
wants, for example adding videos and photos also.
Project Development Approach
• This Project Follows the Extreme Programming (XP)
Model.
• Extreme Programming (XP) is a lightweight software
development methodology. The fundamental concept of
XP is to start simply, divide a project into a series of
iterations each ending with a rigorously tested release
that works in its limited way, and then fit it into a specific
structure designed to simplify and expedite the process
of software development rather than an exhaustive
structure based on the thorough and also very time-
consuming analysis.
