A REPORT ON AN
We were a group of 10 who visited Finland to attend an Innovation Camp for Educators & study the world’s most
successful education system. The camp was conducted by the KOULU EDCATION GROUP
Travel To Learn, India from the 17th
to the 21
We all arrived a day prior to the start of the camp
participants who were a mixed group of principals, school managem
from different parts of India.
Monday, 17th
October, 2016:
We were met by Misa from Koulu at 9 am in the hotel lobby who walked us down to the X

5 minutes away from the hotel) where we were welcomed by Mr. Antti Kaskinen – CEO and Founder of the Koulu
After the welcome address we were introduced to Ms. Satu Jarvinen, Director
Koulu Group. Satu gave us an animated, captivating & detailed introduction to the Finnish education sys
lunch session we had the honour of meeting Prof. Arto Kallioniemi – Vice Dean Helsinki University
who after a brief introduction took us around the University. It was an amazing and a wonderful experience

TUESDAY 18th
October, 2016
We set out for Espoo after breakfast to visit the Jarvenpera School where we received
Principal & Staff. This middle school has a special focus on LUMA education, special needs education and students
with physical disabilities. This was a revelatory
education system. We were served a wholesome meal i
International School. Here we were given an insight into the after school clubs where the school children are
exposed to various clubs, activities and day care programs which are an integral ancilla
in the evening we set out for the city of Turku by train which in itself was a great experience.

In the morning we visited the Nummenpaka

witnessing the shy Finnish children at work.
After a typical Finnish School lunch (a standard school lunch is provided by the Finnish government to all the schools
in each city) we left for another school visit

Technology plays a vital part in Finnish education and this morning we drove down to a leading school in Finland
which has adopted this method of teaching viz:

  • 2. A REPORT ON AN We were a group of 10 who visited Finland to attend an Innovation Camp for Educators & study the world’s most successful education system. The camp was conducted by the KOULU EDCATION GROUP Travel To Learn, India from the 17th to the 21 We all arrived a day prior to the start of the camp participants who were a mixed group of principals, school managem from different parts of India. Monday, 17th October, 2016: We were met by Misa from Koulu at 9 am in the hotel lobby who walked us down to the X 5 minutes away from the hotel) where we were welcomed by Mr. Antti Ka Education Group. After the welcome address Koulu Group. Satu gave us an animated, captivating & detailed introduction to the Finnish education sys which in the post-lunch session we had the honour of meeting Prof. who after a brief introduction took us around the Uni the students, teachers in class at the University. Niko Lindholm of X-Edu Accelerator Program wherein we were introduced to the founders of Start Seppo&Lufta. A REPORT ON AN EDUCATORS TOUR TO FINLAND We were a group of 10 who visited Finland to attend an Innovation Camp for Educators & study the world’s most camp was conducted by the KOULU EDCATION GROUP, Finland in association with to the 21st October, 2016 (5 days-Monday to Friday) We all arrived a day prior to the start of the camp on Sunday, 16th October. It was wonderful meeting all the participants who were a mixed group of principals, school management personnel & educational c in the hotel lobby who walked us down to the X-Edu Office ( which was 5 minutes away from the hotel) where we were welcomed by Mr. Antti Kaskinen – CEO and Founder of the Koulu After the welcome address we were introduced to Ms. Satu Jarvinen, Director Koulu Group. Satu gave us an animated, captivating & detailed introduction to the Finnish education sys lunch session we had the honour of meeting Prof. Arto Kallioniemi – Vice Dean Helsinki University who after a brief introduction took us around the University. It was an amazing and a wonderful experience the students, teachers in class at the University. The day ended with an interactive audio-visual session with Mr. Edu Accelerator Program wherein we were introduced to the founders of Start We were a group of 10 who visited Finland to attend an Innovation Camp for Educators & study the world’s most , Finland in association with October.   • 3. A REPORT ON AN TUESDAY 18th October, 2016 We set out for Espoo after breakfast to visit the Jarvenpera School where we received Principal & Staff. This middle school has a special focus on LUMA education, special needs education and students with physical disabilities. This was a revelatory education system. We were served a wholesome meal i International School. Here we were given an insight into the after school clubs where the school children are exposed to various clubs, activities and day care programs which are an integral ancilla in the evening we set out for the city of Turku by train which in itself was a great experience. A REPORT ON AN EDUCATORS TOUR TO FINLAND We set out for Espoo after breakfast to visit the Jarvenpera School where we received a warm welcome middle school has a special focus on LUMA education, special needs education and students revelatory experience which show cased the meaningful & effective wholesome meal in the school mess after which we drove down to the Espoo International School. A REPORT ON AN Wednesday 19th October, 2016 In the morning we visited the Nummenpaka the working of the school, after which we went around visiting the different classrooms & it was a pleasure witnessing the shy Finnish children at work. After a typical Finnish School lunch (a standard school lunch is provided by the Finnish government to all the schools in each city) we left for another school visit very warm welcome& had an interactive session with the Principal & Staff. Thursday, 20th October, 2016. Technology plays a vital part in Finnish education and this morning we drove down to a leading school in Finland which has adopted this method of teaching viz: detailed presentation on ‘ The role of ICT in developing leading education solutions’ by the very knowledgeable Principal, Mr. Marko Kuuskorpi A REPORT ON AN EDUCATORS TOUR TO FINLAND In the morning we visited the Nummenpaka Elementary School where we were given a detailed presentation of , after which we went around visiting the different classrooms & it was a pleasure witnessing the shy Finnish children at work. ol lunch (a standard school lunch is provided by the Finnish government to all the schools in each city) we left for another school visit – the Puropelto Secondary School where we were once had an interactive session with the Principal & Staff.
