1. New PU appointments with consensus: VC
Acting Vice-chancellor of Pokhara University Bishnu Raj Tiwari on Tuesday appointed new
candidates on the basis of consensus.
Govinda Lamichhane, who had gone on hunger strike against the appointment of officials earlier
has been deputed dean of Science and Technology.
All the candidates are old ones except Lamichhane, whereas Anup Acharya, who was appointed
controller of examination earlier, has not been given any position.
Deepak Bhandari has been appointed to the post of registrar, Nirmala Jammarkattel as controller
of the examinations whereas Rajesh Thagurathi has been given the post of dean of Management
faculty and Ajay Thapa is the new dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Commission for
the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had initiated investigation against irregularity in
appointment of 24 officials of the varsity earlier.
