1. Translation is both art and science. Translation is the process of shifting
the text from the source language into the target language. Legal
translation is one of translation branches that deals with texts used in law
and legal settings. Translation studies is an academic, interdisciplinary
dealing with the systematic study of the theory, description and
application of translation. There are two types of translation studies. On
one hand, the linguistic form which refers to how words relate to meaning
within language or between languages. On the other hand, the cultural
one which refers to how translation occurs between one human self and
another. A contrastive analysis describes the structural differences and
similarities of two or more languages. It has been used in translation
theory as a method of explaining why some features of a target language
were more difficult to acquire than the others. One of the aspects that
legal translation deals with is the differences and similarities of languages
by contrastive analysis through international instruments, which is
divided into constitutional texts and resolution forms.
