2. Physical Characteristics
Poland has 3 large bodies of water. These large
bodies of water are used for the transportation
of goods and people, as well as for fishing. The
bodies of water are the Baltic Sea, Gulf of
Gdansk, and Masurian Lake. Poland has many
densely forested areas in its northeastern
region, which are used for forestry. There are
plains in the Central region of Poland that are
used for farming, livestock, and breeding of
livestock.

petroleum and iron .

4. On a persons wedding day in Poland it is
traditional that after the wedding ceremonies a

chrysanthemums, because they are traditionally
used during funerals.
5. Christmas Traditions
In Poland on December 24th, it is accustomed to
hold a special dinner called a Wigilia which is a
huge feast composed of native dishes.
Straw is an important part of the Polish
Christmas tradition. People place straw under
their table cloths, and after eating, they pull a
piece from the table cloth to see what their
future will be, either good or bad.

Poland has been influenced by the
Catholic Church for a long time, and
many of the Catholic’s had an
influence on the nations
governmental values. Poland was at
one time dominated by Jews, today
95 out of 100 Polish people are
Roman Catholic, this is because
Poland was greatly effected by the
Nazi's In WWII.
