How to tackle the college reading assignment:

2.The Chunk System- no more than 10 pages at a time.
3.Ask questions and note concerns/opinions of the text.

Understanding how you learn will prevent you from falling into the “I am not good at__________” myth.
You can adapt the manner that you record the information that is being taught to be able to comprehend, apply, and recall it as needed.
Understanding your learning preference can help you to identify study strategies for each subject matter.
Learning style and Teaching Style will often times be different. This does not mean that you cannot be successful. It means you will need to employ different learning strategies!
Be prepared- preview the content before the class
Maintain a positive attitude- find something interesting and enjoyable about every class.
Be intentional about paying attention- there is a difference between listening and hearing.
Be flexible- the lecture may shift direction based on questions that are asked
ASK CLARIFYING QUESTIONS- If you do not understand, get it, are confused, or completely lost… Raise. Your. Hand.
