Let’s learn how to erase lines by using the Erase command.
In AutoCAD Erase command is used to erase or delete an unwanted object. It is used
to delete unwanted lines, arcs, objects etc. This is most common and widely used
command in AutoCAD.
To learn, how to erase lines by using Erase command follow below mentioned steps.
1. Now, click on the Erase command in Modify panel under Home tab.
Erase command removes unwanted objects from a drawing. Instead of
selecting objects to erase, you can enter an option, such as L to erase the last
object drawn, P to erase the previous selection set, or All to erase all objects.
You can also enter ? to get a list of all options.
You can also activate Erase command by entering ERASE or E at the Command
Line.
Another method to select the Erase command is also available. You can select
the Erase command from Menu Bar > Modify > Erase.
You can also find Erase command in Modify toolbar of the AutoCAD classic
workspace.
You can also select Erase command from shortcut menu. Select the objects to
erase and then right-click in the drawing area and then select the Erase
command.

methods such as window or window crossing method.

You can also use Spacebar in place of Enter key to erase selected lines.
