IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR
RBC ROYAL BANK®
CREDIT CARD STATEMENT
We have recently made changes to your credit card statement to improve
how Purchase and Cash Advance interest rates are displayed. An INTEREST
RATE CHART has been added to allow for easy review of all Interest Rates,
Remaining Balances, and Expiry Dates that you may currently have on your
credit card account. The Remaining Balance for each rate shown in the
chart includes interest, if any, associated with that balance. Please note
that you do not pay any interest on interest. The "Interest" and
"Calculating Interest" sections on the back of your statement explain how
interest is charged and how you may avoid interest charges on purchases
and fees. We hope that you find this new format beneficial as you review
your credit card statement each month. Thank you for being an RBC Royal
Bank credit cardholder. Should you have any questions regarding your
statement, please contact us at 1-800 ROYAL®

RReevviieeww yyoouurr ssttaatteemmeenntt.. Please review your credit card statement carefully. If you
think there is an error, you must contact us within 30 days of your statement period
end date at 1-800-769-2512. After the 30 days, our records will be considered correct.
HHooww ttoo rreeppoorrtt lloosstt oorr ssttoolleenn ccaarrddss,, oorr uunnaauutthhoorriizzeedd uussee ooff yyoouurr ccaarrdd.. If your card is
lost or stolen, or if you have your card but suspect that it or your account number is
being used by someone else, call 1-800-769-2512 immediately.
HHooww ttoo mmaakkee aa ppaayymmeenntt.. Your payment options are listed on the front of your
statement. It is your responsibility to pay at least the Minimum Payment by the
Payment Due Date, as shown on the front of your statement. All payments will be
credited to your account for the statement period in which payment is received.
Sufficient time is required for payments to reach us by the Payment Due Date.
YYoouurr AAvvaaiillaabbllee CCrreeddiitt.. This is the credit available to you on your statement period
end date. It does not reflect transactions or payments made after that date.
Payments do not automatically adjust your Available Credit. This generally occurs
within one to three business days following receipt of your payment, depending how
your payment is made.
IInntteerreesstt.. You will pay no interest on purchases and fees as long as you continue to
pay us your New Balance by your Payment Due Date shown on your statement
every month. If you do not pay your New Balance in full by your Payment Due Date,
you lose this interest-free status for purchases and fees. You must then pay interest
on all purchases and fees shown on that month’s statement and on all new
purchases and fees, from the transaction date until we receive your payment for the
total amount you owe.
You always pay interest on cash advances, including credit card cheques, balance
transfers, Cash-Like transactions and bill payments made using your credit card at
our branch, at an ATM or using Online Banking. Interest is charged from the day the
cash advance is made until we receive your payment for the total amount you owe.
The transaction date for a purchase, fee, cash advance, or any other activity is the
date shown under Activity Description on the front of your statement. You do not pay
any interest on Interest.
CCaallccuullaattiinngg IInntteerreesstt.. For each day, interest is calculated by multiplying the total
amount of the interest-bearing balance you owe that day by the interest rate or rates
in effect for that day (that is the annual interest rate or rates divided by the number
of days in the year). We add together all the interest charges for each day in the
statement period and this is the total Interest we charge you in that period. If there
are different daily rates, each rate is multiplied by the portion of the interest-bearing
balance to which it applies.
For more detailed information about interest charges refer to the Interest section of
your RBC Royal Bank Credit Card Agreement.
AAppppllyyiinngg yyoouurr ppaayymmeennttss.. We apply payments to your New Balance in the following
order: first to Interest, next to Fees, next to Cash Advances and finally, to Purchases.
Any payments in excess of your New Balance are applied to transactions that have
not yet appeared on your statement in the following order: first to Fees, next to Cash
Advances and finally to Purchases. In any category of charges, those charges
bearing the lowest interest rate will be paid first.
FFoorreeiiggnn ccuurrrreennccyy ttrraannssaaccttiioonnss.. Amounts charged in a foreign currency are
converted into Canadian dollars at our exchange rate in effect at the time we post
the transaction to your account, which is 2.5% above a bench mark rate on which
the credit card company bases its rate to us.

VVoottrree rreelleevvéé :: Veuillez examiner attentivement votre relevé de carte de crédit. Si
CCoommmmeenntt ssiiggnnaalleerr llaa ppeerrttee,, llee vvooll oouu ll''uuttiilliissaattiioonn nnoonn aauuttoorriissééee ddee vvoottrree ccaarrttee :: Si
