INSTRUMENTS//
- Leveling Rod
- Level
- Scotch Tape
- Meter Tape
- Pencil
- Paper
PROCEDURE//
1. Screw the level tothe head of the tripod.
2. Spreadthe tripod legs 3 or 4 feet apartand pushit firmly into the ground.
3. Movethe leveling screws one at a time or in pairs when adjustingthe bubbleinto the target
circle onthe vial
4. Rotate the scope90 degrees andre-level
5. Repeat until the bubblestayslevel throughouta360 degree circuit
6. Turn the scopeto bring the rod intothe field of vision
7. Focuson the crosshairsby adjustingthe eyepiece
8. Avoid readjustingthe leveling screws once the instrumentis leveled.
