List thesis for your session here – what are the goals, what do you want the audience to do during and have learned by the time you are done?Other notes for consideration: Do you plan to show the certain feature sets of MT that you discuss live? For example, are you planning to discuss MindApps and then show ReadSpeaker live? Examples of personalization? We can grab a video clip of a session on Tues and build it into a MT course to show everyone how easy that is to do and how that drives engagement. Should you mention how MT was created – the market need that led to it’s creation? Do we show the whitepaper that touches on the outcomes through learning – that’s a data story that will help tie in the theme? Interactive? Do we get the audience to comment on their needs/concerns in the classroom, challenges they are facing? Consider telling them why you wanted to present at Engage in your opening. Tell them why you are passionate about what you do. Explain your title – I’m sure that is a good story. We’ll have one day of presentations under our belts – we may be able to play off of those a bit. Call to action at the end or info on next steps? What’s coming down the road. What’s the 3-5 year vision? When will our customers be able to build apps? HAHAHAH!

This quote sums up MindTap to me. MindTap has been specifically designed to get the learner engage with the content od their course, no matter there location. As you will see MindTap is a system of App(roots) that help expand beyond just a textbook and augment the learning and engagement process by providing avenues to utilities and tools that they would not have had easy access to in the past.
You are all engaged in finding new ways to reach your students and educate them. They have a host of different learning styles and you want to connect with them where and how they learn. You also need to be able to measure results and personalize a course to meet the standards and specs of your institution, your vision. We're trying to solve these challenges with you and MindTap is a result of these efforts. But, without your continued voice, we can't be successful. You are helping us bulid the content solutions for today and tomorrow. Your voice is essential.
MindTap was created in the Cloud…What does this mean? It means that MindTap is device agnosticMindtap is awesome on the desktop where users can come in and get their readings and assignments completed, but it also work on the iPad. Recent improvements in our platform have provided a great new mobile experience that is optimized and crafted for the Mobile user. Some of these improvements include:Better swipe navigationIntegrated text-to-speech reading with Readspeaker.Full-screen view of apps including Flash cards and glossary toolsBecause MT is cloud based, we are able to quickly add more device support, so as new types of devices come online, we will be able to quickly test and support them.
One of the most powerful aspects of MindTap is the ability to customize the course to your instruction needs. While each Mindtap is based on an existing textbook adoption, the secret sauce is your ability to design your course around that in MindTap.Customization features include:Change the order of readings and UnitsAdd your existing tools (readings, videos, Syllabi etc.) directly into MindTapEdit the readings, add and delete content and sections.Another great way to customize your MindTap is to include domain specific apps. These app could include:Scientific calculator for Chemistry and PhysicsSelf grading writing tool for English and History
The other piece that makes MindTap a game changer is it’s App based Methodology. The MindApps framework allows MindTap to flexibly add new tools that allow MindTap to constantly evolve and change. This highly flexible framework allows us to easily integrate with great third part tools that really bring out the power of mindtap. The tools are not just wrapped views of the web apps, but can be highly integrated apps that present content to gradable apps that integrate directly with the MindTap Progress application.The pool of tools is endless. If it can be accessed on the open we, it can be integrated into MindTap as a MindApp in the matter of minute. Some exaples of our existing MindApps include
One of the great calling cards of MindTap is the integration of Multiple homework and assignment solutions. With the inclusion of Aplia and CengageNow into MindTap adding assessment question to support your course is as easy as 1-2-3. {need more here}
MindTap has a select set of apps that are deployed with every instance. These includeFlashcard – These are highly customized and interactive flashcards based on the content you are viewing at the time. If you are reading chapter 5, your flashcards will be based on Chapter 5. One awesome feature is that students and instructors can add custom flash cardsMerriam – Webster Dictionary: students can search for words directly in the app, or while in a reading, they are able to highlight words and fire off a definition search with the click of the mouse.Progress App – this is MindTap’s grade book. Instructors see of view of each student with completed assignments and work, studends get a glimpse of what they have turned in and what is left to do.Notes: As it says the notes app. This app collects and likes all notes that uses take in the reader. Students can use the built in MindTap notes app or, if they use Evernote, can link to their account here and take their notes with them.Other apps also…
MindTap also integrates other third-part apps that can be deployed with most MindTap…here are just a few…{Explain them Here}
